My artistic journey began amidst the sun-drenched beaches of Southern California in the 1960s and 70s. This formative experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for the human condition and its intersection with the natural world. After earning a Bachelor's degree in International Political Studies, I found myself captivated by the social dynamics of male camaraderie, particularly within the vibrant British pub culture. My exploration of photography began in the late 1990s, fueled by a desire to capture the essence of human form and expression. Venice Beach, with its eclectic atmosphere and diverse population, provided an ideal backdrop for my early experiments. Over time, I developed a particular interest in male nudes, focusing on their vulnerability and strength within outdoor settings. Pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at Otis College of Art & Design, I honed my artistic vision and solidified my commitment to social commentary through photography. Inspired by the likes of Catherine Opie, Diane Arbus, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Weegee, I strive to capture candid and unfiltered moments of the human condition. My approach to photography is characterized by a subtle presence, allowing subjects to express themselves freely without inhibition. By observing and documenting their natural behaviors, I aim to reveal truths about the human condition. In 2019, a residency in Barcelona led to a transformative decision: to leave Los Angeles and embrace this vibrant European city as m
